Welcome to World History Honors
Should you have any questions or concerns please contact me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Classwork, Homework, and Announcements will all be posted on the World History Honors Google Classroom page. Students should access the Google Classroom page through the Google Suite for any information that you may be seeking regarding our class. If you are a parent or guardian, please contact me with any questions you may have regarding this topic. Students were registered for this page in class in September.
Student grades are comprised using a weighted point system of the following catagories:
- Homework/Classwork/Participation: 20%
- Quizzes: 25%
- Tests: 30%
- Projects/Essays: 20%
- Please note that all homework, classwork, and participation assignments are considered Tier 1 assignments. All quizzes, tests, and long term assignments (such as projects and essays) are considered Tier 2 assignments.
Late homework, classwork, or participation assignments will only be accepted 1 class day late and penalized 1/2 credit after grading. Long term assignments (projects, essays, etc) may be turned in up to 3 calendar days late, but will be assessed a full letter grade deduction as a penalty. No penalty will be assessed if a student is legally absent from school or class and they speak with me upon their return to school. Students returning after an absence should be prepared to submit any work due they day they return to school.
A more detailed explanation of the grading policy and student expectations can be located on the World History Honors Google Classroom page and was distributed to students in September.
The LRHS Academic Dishonesty policy governs all instances of plagiarism and cheating. A copy of this can be located in the student handbook (pgs 157-159) accessable at https://www.lakeland.k12.nj.us/cms/lib/NJ01001488/Centricity/Domain/18/5000policiesforweb.pdf
