PROJECT CHILD FIND The Lakeland Regional High School District, along with the Ringwood & Wanaque Public School Districts is proud to participate in PROJECT CHILD FIND, a referral and awareness service of the NJ Department of Education. If your child is having problems with learning, communication, or social-emotional areas, an evaluation may be provided. Children found eligible are entitled to free and appropriate special education programming and related services.
If you would like to request an evaluation for your child, aged three to twenty-one, send a written request for an evaluation to:
Mrs. Audrey Poggioli, Director of Special Services
Lakeland Regional High School
205 Conklintown Rd
Wanaque, NJ 07465
Please include your child’s name, age, address and suspected disability. After receiving your written request, the district’s child study team has twenty days to meet with you, the parents. At this meeting, you and the team will decide if an evaluation is needed and what that evaluation will include. To the maximum extent, students with disabilities receive their education with children who are not disabled.
Additional information can be accessed at the following web address or phone number, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All calls are confidential.
