YEARBOOK email confusion.
Recently, there has been confusion about a variety of emails regarding yearbooks. I am sorry about that and hope that this message helps to clarify any questions or concerns that you might have.
You might have received an email from Lifetouch about ordering a yearbook through them. We do not use Lifetouch for our yearbooks. You received that in error. They do take our class and sport photos but are not our yearbook company. Do not order a yearbook through them; it is NOT us nor is it our yearbook.
You might have receive an email from Josten's advertising National Yearbook Week and a promotion that they are running where you can win a free Chromebook. This promotion is through Josten's directly, not Lakeland. We have nothing to do with the free Chromebook promotion (although I would not mind winning one myself).
Last Wednesday, you should have received an email from us regarding yearbook ordering, senior / business ads, and an early bird promotion where you can receive free icons if you personalize your yearbook during October. Unfortunately, many of you received that email multiple times, due to a glitch in the interface through which it was sent. I am so sorry about that. We had no idea until we started receiving questions about the multiple emails.
I hope that this clarifies any questions you had. Please reach out to me if you have any other questions with which I can help.
Tammy OzdemirYearbook Advisor

ERASE answers - What is Juneteenth?
Juneteenth (short for “June Nineteenth”) marks the day when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas in 1865 to take control of the state and ensure that all enslaved people be freed. The troops’ arrival came a full two and a half years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth honors the end to slavery in the United States and is considered the longest-running African American holiday.

Junior Keith Paninsoro found and shared this online web comic with our Graphic Novels class. He writes, "I thought you all would enjoy [this comic] during quarantine. It's set in St. Louis during the Prohibition era (1927-ish) and tells a story about a gang of tenacious and very shady characters running a speakeasy and their struggles to keep business flowing after the death of its owner. It's a blast reading through this comic and I hope you enjoy it as much as I am right now. There is also a separate page which shows off the process of making these comics and tips on illustration which I hope is useful in improving your drawings and the comic assignment. Stay safe everyone and enjoy the comic!" Here is the link to the full comic https://lackadaisycats.com/comic.php?comicid=1 This is the kind of fun stuff we look at all the time in Graphic Novels. Email your guidance counselor to sign up for the class next year!
