Dual Enrollment

What is Dual Enrollment?

Dual Enrollment is a program that allows high school juniors and seniors to enroll in college-level courses and attend the course on the college campus while still in high school. High school students are able to get a jump start on college for a reduced tuition! Upon successful completion of the course, students have a college transcript with college credits. Course credits can be applied toward an undergraduate degree at most colleges and universities. All students are responsible for adhering with the rules and regulations of the participating college. Students and parents must understand that enrollment in courses will generate a permanent college transcript.

Students of senior status or those during the summer immediately following graduation are eligible to enroll in courses offered through the pre-college program. Juniors interested in this option must review with their school counselor to seek approval.

Students may enroll in no more than 2 courses per term.

Registration & Cost

Students must submit a completed registration form along with a check for tuition costs made payable to the “LRHS Student Activity Account” and then turn it in to the Lakeland Regional High School Guidance Department by the registration deadline. Costs per course vary depending on college and range from $99 – $342!
