Lakeland School Community,
We are thrilled to launch our NEW community newsletter, the Lakeland Curriculum Connections! This newsletter will serve as an opportunity for us to share important updates and insights into the academic life of our Lancers.
In this inaugural issue, you will find details on several exciting initiatives for the 2025-2026 school year:
Curriculum Enhancements: We are introducing four new UPAL Independent Research Courses and have created a new "Essential District Skills" section in our updated Curriculum Handbook. These changes are designed to give our Lancers the skills they need for success in college and careers.
Data-Driven Instruction: We continue to use student data from recent NJGPA and NJSLA scores to better support our students. This includes targeted interventions, especially for our 9th graders using the iReady platform, and tailoring our AP courses to be as challenging and effective as possible.
A Focus on Student Success: Everything we're doing is aimed at fostering greater student achievement. We are confident that these enhancements will help our Lancers thrive in the year ahead.

Thank you for your partnership as we work together to support our Lancers!
Sincerely,
Ms. Jessica Geyer
