Applications are officially open for Lakeland Regional High School’s University Program for Advanced Learning (UPAL), offering students a tailored path to college and career readiness. Interested families have until November 13 to complete and submit their applications.
Established in 2017, UPAL is designed to give high-achieving and motivated students real-world exposure, advanced research opportunities, and specialized learning tracks before they ever step foot on a college campus.
Six Specialized Academies to Choose From
Whether your child is drawn to the sciences, the humanities, or the arts, the UPAL program offers six distinct pathways tailored to diverse passions and career goals:
BioMed (Biomedical Studies): Focuses on medical research, human anatomy, and clinical concepts for aspiring health professionals.
Engineering: Hands-on design, technical problem-solving, and fundamentals of modern engineering disciplines.
Physical Therapy & Exercise Science: Explores human movement, athletic training, rehabilitation, and sports medicine fundamentals.
