Giavanna from Cafasso Baking brought in her baking skills to share with the CORE & STEP students today. She reviewed the importance of keeping clean in the kitchen & why it's so important to use math while measuring in the kitchen. Students were able to decorate St. Patrick's Day cupcakes using the piping technique! ☘️

What are the best ways to make an egg? Good thing we have local community members that are willing to share their skills with us! Chris from Lakeside Diner joined our CORE & STEP Programs and gave yummy hands on lesson on the many ways to cook an egg! Thanks Chris! Scrambled eggs seemed to be the fan favorite!

Art 1 students created beautiful color wheel kaleidoscopes! Using only the primary colors, they mixed all secondary and intermediate colors.





The Lakeland Community is encouraged to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day on Friday, March 20th by wearing blue & yellow and maybe even some crazy / mismatched socks! Wearing bright mismatched socks is worldwide tradition involving wearing bright, mismatched socks to spark conversations about diversity and celebrate differences.

LRHS Yearbook has just opened 3 additional pages for Senior Recognition Ads. As space is limited, they are first come first serve. The LRHS Library Media Center recently welcomed YA author Kimberly Vanderhoef for an inspiring author talk!
Students were engaged in learning about her novels and the journey of self-publishing, along with a great Q&A session about writing and creativity.

Lakeland Regional High School extends a sincere thank you to Board of Education member Mr. John Griffin for generously sharing his insight and knowledge about the history of the Negro Leagues with our students in advance of the upcoming CORE & STEP field trip. His discussion helped prepare students for their visit to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and their attendance at the New Jersey Jackals game.

🐾Thank you to volunteers from The Seeing Eye, Inc. that came to visit students in the CORE & STEP Programs and students from the SADD Club to share their mission & puppies! The Lakeland Community was able to collect $102.00 of donations during lunch periods to give to The Seeing Eye, Inc.🐾

The Lancer Indoor Guard took home another first place win on Saturday. The guard competed in Bridgewater against 11 other guards and improved their score by 2 points from last week. Next up, Elizabeth on March 28.
