We are thrilled to launch our new community newsletter, the Lakeland Curriculum Connections! This newsletter will serve as an opportunity for us to share important updates and insights into the academic life of our school.
In this inaugural issue, you will find details on several exciting initiatives for the 2025-2026 school year:
Curriculum Enhancements: We are introducing four new UPAL Independent Research Courses and have created a new "Essential District Skills" section in our updated Curriculum Handbook. These changes are designed to give our students the skills they need for success in college and their careers.
Data-Driven Instruction: We're using student data from recent NJGPA and NJSLA scores to better support our students. This includes targeted interventions, especially for our 9th graders using the iReady platform, and tailoring our AP courses to be as challenging and effective as possible.
A Focus on Student Success: Everything we're doing is aimed at fostering greater student achievement. We are confident that these enhancements will help our Lancers thrive in the year ahead.

If a student would like to request a change, please schedule an appointment online using the "schedule change memo" (in the summer mailing folder under "documents" in the portal or in your email) to see your school counselor during their limited summer hours.

This change aligns with a statewide initiative proposed by Governor Murphy, encouraging public school districts to moderate student cell phone use during the school day.

Join us Tuesday, July 8th from 7-8pm for an informational session where you can learn about picture options, how to sign up, prices, see examples and speak with a representative from Legacy Studios. We will be in the lecture Hall in the West building...main doors in front.
All pictures will be at school in the Lecture Hall and the Cap / Gown and drape / tux are provided.
