Dear Lakeland Regional High School Parents, Students, and Staff,
Each year, the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) proudly recognizes outstanding educators and educational support specialists through the Governor’s Educator of the Year (GEOY) Program. This program offers a valuable opportunity to formally celebrate the dedication, talent, and significant impact of our teachers and support staff on the lives of Lakeland Regional students.
We respectfully invite you to participate by nominating a member of the Lakeland Regional High School staff who demonstrates excellence in their role.
Nominations are open for two categories:
Governor’s Educator of the Year (Teacher):
This award honors a classroom teacher who demonstrates outstanding teaching, leadership, and deep commitment to the success of all students.
Educational Services Professional of the Year:
This award recognizes a support staff member, such as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, secretary, or custodian, who provides exceptional service and support to the school community.
If you know a staff member who deserves to be honored, please share your nomination using the secure online form below.

As we get ready to celebrate Halloween, we encourage everyone to show their school spirit and creativity by dressing up! Please take a moment to review the Costume Guidelines for Halloween to ensure a safe, fun, and respectful day for all.
You can view the full list of expectations in the attached flyer, but here are a few key reminders:
Costumes should be school-appropriate and in good taste.
No masks, weapons, or full-face paint are permitted.
Costumes should not include offensive, suggestive, or unsafe items.
Students must wear their lanyards throughout the day.
No candy may be distributed during the school day.
If you are unsure whether a costume idea meets the guidelines, please reach out to an administrator or the Dean of Students before Halloween for clarification.
Let’s make this Halloween both fun and respectful for everyone!
We look forward to seeing your creativity while keeping our Lancer pride shining.
Have a safe and spooky day! 👻
Warm regards,
Lakeland Administration

If you have any family or friends you would like us to honor, please fill out the bottom of the attached letter and bring it to the performance. We will announce their names prior to the playing of our Armed Forces Salute.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you on the 11th!
