Huge shoutout to our Interim Supervisor, Dr. Brian Gatens, as he takes on cycling 400 miles in 4 days!🚴♂️Riding from West Chester, PA to Williamsburg, VA, Dr. Gatens is pushing through four, back-to-back, century rides in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The LRHS Library Media Center recently welcomed YA author Kimberly Vanderhoef for an inspiring author talk!
Students were engaged in learning about her novels and the journey of self-publishing, along with a great Q&A session about writing and creativity.
Thank you to Ringwood Public Library and Lakeland alum Hailey Terracino, their Young Adult Coordinator, for helping make this collaboration possible.

Lakeland Regional High School extends a sincere thank you to Board of Education member Mr. John Griffin for generously sharing his insight and knowledge about the history of the Negro Leagues with our students in advance of the upcoming CORE & STEP field trip. His discussion helped prepare students for their visit to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and their attendance at the New Jersey Jackals game.
