Looking for a way to break up your A-Days, earn graduation credits, and make some noise?! We’re launching a brand-new initiative that lets you swap your A-Day Study Hall for the Chorus Half-Block Pilot!
Whether you’ve been singing for years or only hit those high notes in the shower, all skill levels are welcome.
🎶 Why You Should Join:
Ditch the Desk: Trade half of your study hall time on A-Days for rehearsal. (Don't worry—your B-Day study halls stay completely unchanged!)
Earn Credits: Fulfill 2.5 credits toward your mandatory Visual & Performing Arts graduation requirement.
Take the Stage: Perform alongside fellow Lancers in district concerts throughout the year.
Build Skills & Confidence: Learn vocal techniques, sight-singing, and harmony in a super collaborative setting.

Today our ESY STEP and CORE students had the privilege of meeting with local veterans to learn about their military service and the sacrifices they made for our country. Thank you to these remarkable men for sharing their stories, answering our questions, and reminding us of the importance of service, courage, and patriotism. It was a meaningful experience our students won’t soon forget. 🇺🇸

Lakeland Graduation Update: We are having an outdoor graduation ceremony tonight! Gates open at 5:15 PM. Seniors should report to the West Gym by 6:00 PM. Only outdoor graduation tickets will be accepted for entry. Parking is limited, so seniors are encouraged to be dropped off or carpool. Lancers - they are going fast! Did you get your Lakeland Yearbook yet? We have officially handed out all of the books that were preordered and have a handful still available for sale. Secure yours today, before the last of them are gone. Online sales have ended but you can still get one by emailing me directly at tozdemir@lakeland.k12.nj.us, $109 cash or check (made payable to the school). If your student is taking finals this week, they can find me in room 412. If not, we can arrange a pickup with the Main Office. Don’t wait. Once they are gone, we cannot reorder.
Ceramics & Sculpture students finished the year strong with Pinch Pot Coral Reef sculptures inspired by the work of Courtney Mattison-ceramic artist and climate activist.

Neurographic Art watercolor paintings done by Art 1 allowed students to focus on the power of positive change and conscious decision making throughout an abstract composition. Their use of watercolor techniques and different embroidery stitches made for unique artworks that relaxed the students as they created.
